I'm listening to the soundtrack for this series right now as I write this. Okay so watching itaewon class was like a taking a breath of fresh air, as much as I love romantic series, it was nice to touch on other subjects. First of all, don't we love the fact that although the series had a time-lapse that totaled to about 14 years, saeroyi's hairstyle never changed. Itaewon class is a show that makes you think, I can honestly say that watching the show has had an impact on my psyche, it has taught me that when your really driven towards a goal, no matter how long it takes, you'll surely get there. Park saeroyi was too much of a good person and I think we can all learn a little bit from him. I actually shed a tear when his dad died, the writers did such a good job of introducing us to him in the small time he was on screen, we could see how much he loved and rooted for saeroyi and it was really sad that he died, and that is what set the whole show into motion. Dae-hee I feel got what he deserved at the end, and what's funny is he did it by his own hand, if only he had done things the right way and not pushed all the blame on saeroyi, things would have ended better, the fact that he spent so much in Geun-won and ended up abandoning just shows the lengths he is willing to take. Now for the characters

Yi-seo: Not gonna lie, it was a love hate relationship with her, at some points I really didn't like her, and in other parts I was like "yeahhhh that's my girl " but I think she did have a nice character development, I loved how tough she was, even to the point where she was kidnapped with Geun-soo, and when she left him I couldn't stop laughing for about 3 minutes. I liked how resilient she was, she knew what she wanted, and she knew she would get it, and she did.

Hyun-yi : I don't know about anyone else, but forgive me cause I might be a bit biased towards the character that pays Hyun-yi, ever since I saw her in weightlifting fairy, I've been following her progress, she owned the role and I cant think of anyone who would play the role better, I loved her confidence, I laughed with her, and felt very sad that her chance to come out on her own terms were stolen. But she came out victorious at the end like i knew she would. I wish we got to see her more bit. All in all, she killed it. And I hope we get to see Lee joo-young in a lead role sometime soon.

Toni: Not gonna lie, he was one of the reasons I wanted to watch the show, I'm sure there are shows out there with foreigners, but this was a first for me, and the fact that he was in a main role had me intrigued, when he came to Dan Bam and said he couldn't speak English I laughed so hard, I like the fact that he spoke Korean throughout because it would have been a bit cringe if he spoke English, his story, seemed well thought out, and I liked the fact that he had one. The club scene, even though I haven't been to Korea, I wasn’t surprised, I know that most of them have a modern mentality, but there will obviously be some people with that backwards mentality, I liked the fact that saeroyi (being saeroyi) did his best to help him out And it did seem that he had a happy ending, finding his grandma and all.

Seung-kwon: His loyalty to saeroyi is what we all want in a friend, I love how their friendship did a whole 180⁰, and I couldn't help but ship him with Hyun-yi.

Soo-ah : At first I couldn't really pinpoint who saeroyi would end up with because he had such history with her, but I'm glad he ended up with yi-seo, I had nothing against soo-ah, but I feel like she took the fact that she knew saeroyi liked her for granted, it was a bit ignorant of her to think that he wouldn't fall in love with someone else when she literally made him wait for 10+ years, it would not have been fair to saeroyi, but it looks like the last episode teased a new love interest for her.

For the Jang family, I really did feel sorry for Geun-soo, because you really can’t choose the family your birthed too, and if only Dae-hee, had treated his sons like human beings, I believe things could have been better, but that’s just who Dae-hee is.

I’m thinking of doing a deep-dive on the park Saeroyi and Jang Dae-hee, so stay tuned for that All in all, the series is one I would definitely recommend, solid 9/10
