A drama that tells the story of what happens when a caregiver, and his autistic brother cross paths with an “antisocial” woman.
First of all
I knewww it!!
You’ll know what I’m talking about soon.
I genuinely think this show is one of the best I’ve watched. It has such a unique story line and everything was so well thought off. I was a little skeptic at first because the storyline to an outsider will seem off but YouTube recommended me this clip from the show. And from that 1 minute clip, I knew I had to watch it.

Munyeong: she’s definitely not perfect and I love that about her, she knew what she wanted and stopped at nothing to get him, and I loved that determination, she was like the embodiment of “you can’t shame the shameless” I liked getting to know her over the course of the series, and finding out why she was the way she was. Her confidence was really something, and for someone who is supposed to not show emotions well, she showed a lot. Which I think gave her a lot of depth and I get why gang-tae fell in love, I mean who wouldn’t? It wouldn’t be a munyeong deep dive if I didn’t mention her impeccable clothing, like she slayed every single outfit throughout the whole series, even when her mom came to cause issues in the castle, Munyeong showed up like she just stepped of a runway. Talk about never caught slipping. Her stylist outdid themselves.
-Gang-tae : This was my first time watching Soohyun in anything and from the first scene I was smitten, like his beauty is on a whole level of it’s own, and he played the role so well. I like how much he genuinely cared for his brother, even though it wasn’t easy. And the flashbacks from his childhood really got me all emotional for some reason, but it made me appreciate his relationship with Munyeong even more because he really deserved to have a little something to himself. And every time there was a happy scene with the trio of sang-tae, gang-tae and Munyeong; I always found myself smiling so hard cause they were just too cute. Gang-tae was such a good character, even with the imperfections, and I will never be able to stress that enough.
-Sang-tae: I actually liked him a lot, even though he wasn’t all for munyeong and gang-tae's relationship at first, the scene in front of the restaurant when he called them both over almost had me in tears cause it was so sweet of him. I was so proud of the fact that he was able to get over his trauma, and the fact that he decided to do it from his own understanding showed how smart he was. His ending was so touching because he deserves everything good the world has to offer.
Now to address what I was talking about in the beginning...I knewwww the nurse would end up being munyeong’s mother, she was just too involved in stuff, and Mr. oh telling gang-tae not to trust anyone in the hospital, including him was what made me suspect her because me oh was insinuating someone in the hospital was bad, and she was the only viable candidate. But nonetheless it was still a somewhat jaw breaking moment when I found out cause it was a crazy twist.
I wish we got more romance scenes with the other couples (ju-ri and sang-in)( seung-Jae and Jae soo )
It was more of a slow burning flame. I mean I do enjoy watching the flirting and all, but I just wish we got more of them together.
It’s okay to not be okay is an amazing series, the cast, the set, the storyline, the lessons. I would recommend it to anyone.
Solid 9.5/10
